From a First Aid Course to a True Matter of the Heart

16. February 20241 Minutes

The impulse came during an internal first aid course. When the instructor explained the life-saving benefits of an AED, it quickly became clear: there are too few publicly accessible defibrillators in Endingen. Without hesitation, Claudia, Holger, and Alexander Döpke made a decision that same day: an AED worth 5,000 Euros would be donated and installed at the office building.

Available 24/7

The defibrillator is visible from all sides of the street, illuminated at night, and accessible at all times. Maintenance is handled by the German Red Cross, which was also present at the official commissioning on February 16. Alexander Breisacher, DRK District Manager, explained its function and emphasized: “Fear of incorrect operation is unfounded – the device guides you step-by-step through its use and provides clear instructions.”

A Strong Commitment to the Region

With this initiative, Döpke Logistik underscores that responsibility does not end at the factory gate. The donation serves not only its own employees but the entire community of Endingen – a small box that can save lives in an emergency.

A big thank you goes to the DRK and to everyone involved who made this implementation possible.
